World Darts Championship Predictions – The World Championship gets underway on Sunday. Its that time of the year when darts is on your screens every single day, and I cannot wait. Below I am going to be predicting the winner, shock exit and dark horse for this years tournament.
World Darts Championship Predictions – Champion
This year there is two main players that most people will be talking about, when it comes to winning the World Championship. Those players are Luke Humphries and Luke Littler. This was the final last year, which Luke Humphries won. However, Humphries and Littler are in the same side of the draw this year, so will meet in the Semi Finals. There is one more player who I think has a chance of winning it, and that is Gary Anderson. He is on the other side of the draw to the two Lukes, and is playing the best darts he has played in a long time. Saying all that, I think that this year is the year that Luke Littler becomes World Champion. I believe that he will play his best darts and rise to the occasion, and when he plays his best stuff not many players can stop him.
World Darts Championship Predictions – Shock exit
There is a lot of big names that aren’t performing well heading into this years World Championship. Michael van Gerwen being the biggest of those names. However, looking at the draw there is one player that I think could head out in their first game. That player is Rob Cross. Cross could potentially face last years Semi Finalist in the second round, Scott Williams. Although Scott hasn’t reached the standards he set in last year’s tournament this year, I think he will be a very tough opponent for Rob and will like to put on a show, just like he did last year. Rob has not been great in the last few tournaments, having a lot of early exits. Unfortunately for him I think the same could happen in the World Championship.
World Darts Championship Predictions – Dark Horse
Looking at the players in this years World Championship, there are plenty of them that could go on a run in this competition, and make a name for themselves. However, this year I am going to pick Cameron Menzies as my dark horse. I have been really impressed by him in recent tournaments, getting to the Quarter Finals of the Grand Slam of darts. He’s got a very winnable opening game against Leon Gates. Then, if he wins that will face Nathan Aspinall, who hasn’t been in the best form and has been struggling with injuries, which hasn’t helped. I believe Menzies has a chance to go on a nice little run and make a name for himself, in this years World Championship.
