Schindle wins in Basel – Semi Finals
Martin’s opponent in the Semi Finals of the Swiss Darts Trophy was “The Rock” Josh Rock. Just like he did against Barney, Schindler managed to break Rock’s throw in the first leg, and then follow it up with a hold of throw, which put him 2-0 up against the Northern Irishmen. Schindler continued to play some fantastic darts and because of this he found himself 5-0 up against Rock, who was scoring well, just the doubles were letting him down. Rock managed to win a leg, to make it five legs to one. He celebrated ironically and so did the crowd! This did not stop Schindler though. Rock missed one dart at bull and two at double to make the game 5-2, Schindler capitalised on that, hitting double tops to make it 6-1 and put himself one leg away from a spot in the Final. Josh pulled another leg back but Schindler got over the line emphatically, with a 140 checkout, to book his spot in the Final. See match stats below.

Schindler wins in Basel – The Final
The Final of the Swiss Darts Trophy was “The Wall” Martin Schindler against “The RockStar” Ryan Searle. This time it was Schindler getting a taste of his own medicine, as he got broke by Searle in the opening leg, which then was followed up by a magnificent 124 checkout to put Ryan 2-0 in a race to eight. Searle carried on his great start by doing the same again. He broke Martin and then held, which saw him have a 4-0 lead in the Final. Schindler then managed to get a leg on the board when he took out 56 to make the game 4-1.
The game was sat at 5-1, with Searle on 59, ready to make it 6-1 and go two legs away from victory, however Martin had other ideas! He took care of 142 to put the game at 5-2. The crowd and Schindler went wild, as they knew this could be a turning point in the match. Martin Schindler continued to come back into this game and in the thirteenth leg, got within one of Ryan Searle, which made the game 7-6. Searle missed his seventh match dart of the game, which allowed Martin to checkout 100 and take the game all the way to a last leg decider. Martin SChindler had a fantastic last leg which saw him win the Swiss Darts Trophy. It sparked some incredible scenes between him and the crowd, which have been unbelievable all weekend in Basel! See match stats below.
