Price Prevails Down Under – Gerwyn Price was crowned Australian Darts Masters Champion on Sunday. The Welshmen played well all weekend, taking out some big names along the way. Price first came up against Brenton Lloyd from Australia. Gerwyn took the opening leg, before the crowd favourite hit seven perfect darts and took the next leg to make it 1-1. However, Price did not let that intimidate him and went on to win the next three legs, putting him comfortably 4-1 up. Price hit back to back thirteen darters to close out the match, winning it six legs to two. See match stats below.

Price Prevails Down Under – Quarter Finals
In the Quarter Finals, Price came up against another Auzy in Damon Heta. Both players held their throw until the seventh leg when Damon Heta broke Price’s throw to go 4-3 up, much to the delight of the crowd. Gerwyn managed to break straight back, which made it 4-4. Then Price produced an excellent 12 dart leg to go one leg away from victory. The tenth leg saw both players miss darts at double but it was Gerwyn Price who eventually hit double nine to go through to the Semi Finals. See match stats below.

Price Prevails Down Under – Semi Finals
It was Wright v Price in the Semi Finals. Peter Wright started off the better player winning the opening three legs and checking out 121 on the bull in the second leg. Just like Price did against Heta, he had to come from behind but this was a much bigger mountain to climb. Gerwyn did manage to win three legs on the trot to pull the game back level at 3-3. Both players continued to battle it out and the game went all the way to 6-6. It was a last leg decider to see who would reach the final in Australia. The pair of them sat with 106 left after 12 darts but it was Gerwyn Price who managed to take out 106 without giving Wright a go at it. See match stats below.

Price Prevails Down Under – Final
The final of the Australian Darts Masters saw Gerwyn Price go up against Luke Littler. Gerwyn Price came out firing and found himself winning the first 5 legs against Littler. Luke did manage to make the game 5-1, sarcastically throwing his hands in the air and giving a Gerwyn Price celebration to the crowd. The pair laughed and fist pumped each other. After the break, Price knew he only needed to win three legs to become champion and he did just that. He pinned double ten to win 8-1 and become the Australian Darts Masters Champion.
