Poland Darts Masters Review – The Poland Darts masters took place on the weekend in front of an unbelievable crowd. 9,000 fans turned up, selling out the PreZero Arena in Gliwice. Luke “The Nuke ” Littler won the tournament, let’s take a look at how he did it.
After beating Adam Gawlas in the first round 6-4, he then came up against Peter Wright in the Quarter Finals. Arguably Peter Wright started the better player, he took a 2-1 lead when he calmly took out 84 in two darts. It’s no surprise that Littler fought back, winning three legs on the bounce to make it four legs to two. Luke went on to win the game 6-3 checking out on his favourite double ten. Peter Wright averaged 109 in this game but that still wasn’t enough to get anywhere near Littler. See match stats below.

Poland Darts Masters Review – Semi Final
In the Semis Littler came up against one of his closest friends in the PDC Michael Smith. Smith started like he means business, he raced into a 4-1 lead breaking Lukes throw twice putting himself firmly in control of the match. Just as he did against Peter Wright, Littler won three consecutive legs, this made the game 4-4 and in the blink of an eye Littler was right back in the match. However, this game kept providing more twists and turns when Michael broke straight back to make it 5-4. The next leg saw Smith sat on 30 ready to go 6-4 up and one away from victory. However he never got the chance, Luke took out 137 with two darts in double tops to level the game at 5-5 and break throw yet again. This quite astonishing game went to a last leg decider. Smith had the first go at winning the match missing one dart at the bullseye. Then it was over to Littler who missed one dart at double 20 and two at double ten. Both players were clearly feeling the pressure. Smith then had two darts at double eight and failed to hit that as well. Then Littler eventually hit double five to end a classic and go through to the Final. See match stats below.

Poland Darts Masters Review – Final
It was a fitting Final as two of the most inform players came up against each other, Luke Littler v Rob Cross. Littler started by far the better player in this one as he accelerated into a 4-1 lead, taking out 164 in the fifth leg which really got the crowd going.
Cross never really got into this game and was nowhere near the levels he produced in the Semi Final against Michael Van Gerwen. Luke won the final 8-3. This result saw him claim his sixth event win of the year and we’re only in June. The Final was not as thrilling as the Semi Final that he was involved in, but he won’t be bothered by that. It was a controlled performance from Littler who fully deserved to win.
