Littler becomes World Champion – Friday night saw Littler fulfill his destiny by becoming World Champion, at just 17 years old. His first match was against Ryan Meikle. You could tell Littler was feeling the pressure, however he did not let this get in the way of him reaching the third round. You could see the emotion from him as he hit the winning double to seale a 3-1 victory. Luke looked a lot more comfortable in his third round match against Ian White. He made it look easy, and went onto win the game 4-1 to book a spot in the fourth round.

Littler becomes World Champion – Round Four
In round four Luke came up against an inform Ryan Joyce, who’s had the best year of his darting career. The game started pretty evenly, with both players taking a set a piece.The game continued in the same fashion with the next two sets being shared between the two, which put the game at two legs a piece. The game was turning into a real classic as both joyce and Littler shared the next two sets, yet again. Joyces finishing was impecibible, every chance he got, he took it. However, Littler was the one that kept his cool under pressure and won the deciding set three legs to one to progress through to the Quarter Finals. See match stats below.

Littler becomes World Champion – Quarter Finals
The Quarter Finals saw Luke come up against his best mate in the darts world, Nathan Aspinall. Littler started by far the better, he raced into a two set lead averaging 118 in the first one. The next two sets were shared, which put the score at 3-1. The following two sets were also shared, with Aspinal hanging in there. The next set saw Luke Littler wrap up a fantastic 5-2 win, averaging 101, to comfortably move onto the World Championship Semi Finals. See match stats below.

Littler becomes World Champion – Semi Finals
It was Crowd favourite Stephen Bunting against Luke in the Semi Finals. Both players’ walk ons were electric, the crowd was bouncing inside the Alexandra Palace. The first set was unbelievable, both players hitting big scores and the crowd was loving every second of it. Littler managed to win the first set, which really gave him the momentum to take control of this game. Littler continued to pick up leg after leg. This put him 4 sets to 0 up. Bunting did manage to pull it back to 4-1, but did not look like he had a chance against this relentless Littler performance. Littler did not let this affect him, and carried on playing like hes been doing all game. He won the match 6-1, destroying Bunting and emphatically booking his place in his second World Championship Final. See match stats below.
