In the third leg he took out 92, hitting two double 18s, after his first dart went in the 20. After this, Kayden did start to pick up a few legs but in the end Humphries was just too strong and closed out the game winning six legs to three. See match stats below.

Humphries wins in Hamilton – Quarter Finals
In the Quarter Finals, Luke came up against his World Cup team mate, Michael Smith. It was a tight start to the game as both players were evenly matched. It was Michael who had the first chance to break in the seventh leg, to make the game 4-3. However, he failed to do so, missing three darts at double. This let Humphries take out 52 to make the game 4-3. Smith and Humphries then held their throw, which put the game at 5-4 to Luke. Humphries doesn’t have the name “Cool Hand” for no reason! He cleaned up 76, hitting double tops with his last dart with Smith sat on 65 ready to make it 5-5. Humphries won the game 6-5 putting him into the Semi Finals. See match stats below.

Humphries wins in Hamilton – Semi Finals
The Semi Finals saw a repeat of the Premier League final and World Championship Final. It was Luke Humphries against Luke Littler in a race to 7 legs. The game started how we had all hoped, big scores and big finishes. Littler hit the first big checkout of the game in the third leg, taking out 142 to put him 2-1 ahead. The players went into the first break with Littler 4-2 after capitalizing on Humphries missed doubles. After the break, Litter carried on doing what he’s been doing all game, and that’s being clinical on the doubles. Littler found himself 6-2 up but this is where the game flipped. The world number one, Luke Humphries, started to show everyone why he is the world number one. He reeled off four legs on the bounce to take the game all the way to a last leg decider. “Cool Hand “ kept his cool once again and got rid of 76 to beat Luke Littler, who was sat on 32 ready to win the match. See match stats below.

Humphries wins in Hamilton – The Final
Humphries came up against the Aussy Damon Heta in the final. Humphries started the better and was thriving up on that stage. His 122 finish on the bull put him 3-1 up. Luke continued to dominate and went 5-1 up in a race to 8 legs. Heta did manage to pull one back but Humphries wasn’t going to let him back in this game. Luke carried on being ruthless on his finishes and took out 74 to put him 7-2 and one away from victory. It was never in any doubt that Humphries would hold his throw in the last leg to win the game 8-2 and become The New Zealand Darts Masters champion. See match stats below.
