Delight for Peter Wright – The Final
It was Peter Wright against Luke Littler in the Final. Littler made his mark in the first leg with an 11 darter, to go 1-0 up against Wright. Littler followed it by winning another two legs, before Peter responded with back to back 180s to pull the game back to 3-1. Littler continued to be ruthless and found himself with a comfortable 5-2 lead against Wright. Peter produced a superb 146 checkout in the eighth leg to stay in it and make the game 5-3. From 5-2 down, Wright managed to get the game back to 5-5. If you thought the performance in the Semi Final was good, then this was arguably even better. He reeled off 6 straight legs against Luke Littler to win the game 8-5. He hit 10 180s and averaged 106, absolutely astonishing from Peter Wright!
